How I got here
I trained as a software engineer in Lagos and moved to Berlin in 2022 after three years on the engineering team at a mid-tier DEX. Before that, I had been an active crypto trader since 2018 — first because I was curious, then because the broken parts of the stack were more interesting than the working ones. I have written production code against eleven different exchange APIs. They are all bad in different ways.
My analyst work since 2023 has focused on on-chain analytics and trading infrastructure: who actually has reliable data, whose websocket feed drops under load, whose backtest engine quietly lies about fees. Most of the reviews I write started as a Slack rant.
I joined Trader Alternatives in 2026 because the standard format for crypto-tool coverage — "feature list, screenshot, affiliate link" — is uninformative to anyone who has actually built or traded on top of these systems. The technical side deserves a publication that takes it seriously.
The beat
Crypto-native charting and analytics platforms, on-chain data providers, trading APIs and SDKs, replay and backtesting tools, scripting environments (Pine, EasyLanguage, NinjaScript), and the rare cross-asset platform that takes derivatives execution seriously.
Off the beat: token launches, "AI trading bot" affiliate offerings, and anything whose pitch deck refers to itself as the Bloomberg of crypto.
